Parking

The two largest and closest parking garages are the Sutter-Stockton Garage, located at 410 Stockton at Sutter, and the Union Square Garage, located at 333 Post between Powell and Stockton. There are other smaller garages around the area as well.

Public Transport
The Hotel Rex is easily accessible by public transportation. The 2 Clement, 3 Jackson, and 4 Sutter all travel up Sutter Street and stop less then a block from the hotel. The Powell Street Cable Car also stops at Sutter and Powell. The 2 Clement is an easy transfer from the Embarcadero BART Station, and the Powell Street Cable Car is an easy transfer from the Powell Street BART Station as well as all Market Street Muni Lines.

By Car
From the North
Exit Lombard St. and go 14 blocks to Van Ness Ave. Turn right on Van Ness, proceed 12 blocks to Bush St. Turn left, proceed 8 blocks and turn right on Powell St. Proceed 1 block, turn right on Sutter St. The Hotel Rex is at 562 Sutter St. on the right.

From the South
Follow Hwy 101, heading towards the Bay Bridge Take the 4th St. /last SF exit to the right Get into the left or middle lanes on the exit ramp Proceed 1 block on Bryant St., turn left on 3rd St. Proceed 5 blocks, crossing Market St. veer right: 3rd St. becomes Kearny St. Proceed 2 blocks, turn left on Sutter St. Proceed 3 blocks The Hotel Rex is at 562 Sutter St. on the right

From the East
From the Bay Bridge, exit Fremont St. to the right, follow signs to Fremont St. Proceed 2 blocks on Fremont St., turn left on Market St. Proceed 1 block on Market St., veer right onto Sutter St. Proceed 5 blocks. The Hotel Rex is at 562 Sutter St. on the right
