La Dolce Vita

La Dolce Vita:
28th Season Gala

Friday, October 12, 2007, 6pm
Yerba Buena Center for the Arts Theater and Forum

Celebrate the 28th season of San Francisco Performances with a gala evening of great food, dancing, and performance, featuring soprano Heidi Grant Murphy, composer/pianist Jake Heggie and Quartetto Gelato. A shimmering soprano with an enchanting stage presence, Heidi Grant Murphy stands at the top of her generation of vocalists, charming audiences with a gilded tone and arresting magnetism. San Francisco’s own Jake Heggie has garnered praise around the world in performances ranging from song recitals to grand opera premieres. Fresh, light and as delectable as its name suggests, Canada’s Quartetto Gelato was named NPR’s Performance Today Debut Artist of the Year for its energetic, playful and thoroughly entertaining style. The festive evening will begin at 6pm with cocktails and champagne, followed by fine dining in the Forum. Guests will then move next door to the Theater for the Gala Performance. Following the performance, guests will be invited back to the Foum for a celebratory dessert reception.

Tickets for the full evening start at $400.
Performance and dessert only, $125.
