VOLUNTEER POSITIONS
San Francisco Performances is looking for dedicated volunteers to work in our administrative office, to usher at select performances, and to help with our educational events. Duties in each of the areas include, but are not limited, to the following:
Administrative Assistance -
Presenting performances requires an enormous amount of behind-the-scenes work. Without the help of administrative volunteers, San Francisco Performances would not be able to present such an extensive season. In our administrative office we are looking for two different types of volunteers - 1) someone who would come in on a regular basis for a minimum of 2 hours/week (M-F, 9-5) and help with such activities as mailings, internet research, filing, organizational assistance, and data entry. 2) volunteers we could call as needed for any of the aforementioned activities.
Performance Help -
San Francisco Performances wants to ensure that performances are enjoyable and stress-free for all audience members. In order to do so, we rely on the help of informed and friendly ushers. Usher's duties would include ticket-taking, seat assistance, handing out programs, collecting and passing out surveys, and sometimes assisting with post-performance events (guest check-in, pouring champagne, washing glasses, cleaning up).
Educational/Community Activities Aide-
San Francisco Performances depends on the help of volunteers to provide free or low-cost outreach activities to our community. We are looking for volunteers on an as-needed basis to help set up our education/community outreach activities and make them run smoothly - this would include ushering for school performances, monitoring students, and laying floor for dance companies.
